It’s been a long time since Fortnite added boss bouts to the game. For the most difficult AI engagements in Fortnite, boss bouts often include an exclusive Fortnite avatar armed with a strong weapon and unique skills. According to a fresh report, Darth Vader, the renowned Star Wars nemesis, may be joining the fray in the next season’s epic fight.
ShiinaBR, a well-known Fortnite leaker and dataminer, supposedly broke the word that Darth Vader would be a boss in Season 3. A further source of Shiina’s allegation is TaborTimeYT, which ShiinaBR says to always report accurate leaks from. However, ShiinaBR clarifies in a subsequent tweet that the upcoming season would not be based on Star Wars.

Earlier this week, it was revealed that Darth Vader would make an appearance in Fortnite’s upcoming third season as one of the game’s main antagonists. For the introduction of Unreal Engine 5, Epic Games had a special event known as State of Unreal where numerous files were disclosed, one of them being the file named “C3S3 VADER,” which almost all but implies the arrival of a strong Force user from another galaxy. In addition to revealing some planned crossovers, such as DOOM and Family Guy, the snapshot of the project data also hints at several more.
The appearance of Darth Vader in Fortnite would not be the first time the two franchises have worked together. While Chapter 2 was still under development, players were given access to a variety of thematic costumes, sabers, and blaster weaponry during the first big Star Wars festival in December 2019. Star Wars figures such as Din Djarin, Boba Fett, and Fennec Shand & Krrsantan from The Book of Boba Fett have joined the fray in the years afterward.
Fan speculation on Vader’s inclusion in the game should be taken with a pinch of salt since Epic Games really hasn’t officially confirmed anything.
