Android Apps On Microsoft Mobiles – A Possibility?

Microsoft has been a company which has been around the markets of technology since quite a long time.

The company has been coming out with a large number of updates and upgrades, and has been bringing out many innovations and changes in the way the world of technology works.

The company has been the leaders in the markets of software technology, and has done a remarkable job, especially when it comes to the world of Operating Systems. Microsoft has been credited to come out with some of the best operating systems, and are now working toward the markets of hardware technology.

Hardware markets have been one which Microsoft have ignored for a really long time, and the company’s recent attempts at capturing the markets have been major flopshows. Microsoft Mobiles have been trying their best to have the user perception turn favorable, but the company has not managed to achieve much yet.

While there have been many changes that have been made to the devices over time, Steve Ballmer, former head of Microsoft has had his opinions on what could make the Microsoft Mobiles better – the addition of Android apps, he says.

According to Ballmer, Microsoft has everything that is needed to be a top class OS, except apps. Android has been better when it comes to applications, and Steve Ballmer commented on the same, stating – Windows phone “needs Android apps.”

Steve Ballmer is currently the single largest shareholder when it comes to Microsoft, and one of the most loved figures to have led the company.

While Nadella is more about ‘universal’ apps which work on PC, Phone and Tablets in the same manner, Steve Ballmer holds the view that they first need apps which bring them at par with the other major operating systems and then tackle the universality of these apps.

However, it is quite odd to have Steve Ballmer praise the Android apps, as when he was at the helm of Microsoft, he had time and again mocked the Android OS. It has been reported in the past that Microsoft might have been working on an Android integration project in the past, but that has been put to hold, at least for the time being.

Microsoft Mobiles has been losing out a lot of market share and has been losing out billions of dollars for the company. Android apps on Windows Phone will help them develop further.
