The next title of the franchise could be Assassin’s Creed Odyssey, contrary to what was previously reported. According to a widespread rumor delivered by 4Chan, the game will be officially announced at E3 2018, after Ubisoft investors agreed on it in recent weeks, and moreover, it could be released in March 2019.

Even more, the next Assassin’s Creed title could be set in ancient Greece, according to a rumor that circulates online for a couple of months.

According to further rumors, the game will massively reintroduce naval combat and exploration along with customization of ships and even the character in a sort of mix between Assassin’s Creed IV Black Flag and Assassin’s Creed Unity.

In addition, the new title is also rumored to introduce the option for gamers to choose between a male and a female protagonist and the characters will have different but intertwined stories, different skill trees, and enhancements.

Assassin’s Creed Odyssey will come with a lot of new cool features

Assassin’s Creed Odyssey will even allow gamers to fight Greek mythological creatures like Cerberus (probably similar to Assassin’s Creed Origins, with specific boss fights).

Also, the in-game world will be just a little smaller than that of Assassin’s Creed Origins but with a bigger number of aquatic areas.

Dialogue options were considered but eventually cut off and the adventure should be set in Roman Greece immediately after the timeline of Assassin’s Creed Origins.

So far, none of the information disseminated has been officially confirmed, nor supported by any authentic image. Consequently, all these remain unofficial rumors and some of the leaks released on the next Assassin’s Creed title could be true, just as they could be fake.

What is certain is that, at the time of Assassin’s Creed Origins, every single rumor has been confirmed or invalidated by Ubisoft. We shall wait and see if something leaks officially on the future Assassin’s Creed Odyssey.
