Even though its been a long time since Asus launched a smartphone that managed to steal the spotlight from the likes of Samsung and Apple’s flagship devices, this doesn’t mean that Asus is going to give up anytime soon. Asus is always working on new smartphones and a brand-new one has just been spotted on GeekBench.
The smartphone is called ZenFone 6Z and the fact that its performances are being tested on a benchmarking website reveals to us that Asus is getting ready to launch ZenFone 6Z during the upcoming future.
GeekBench Results
The first thing that we need to mention about ZenFone 6Z’s GeekBench results is that they are quite impressive. The smartphone scored 3,527 points in the single-core test and a whopping 11,190 points in the multi-core test.
The reason why ZenFone 6Z was able to pass GeekBench’s tests with flying colors is because it is powered by Qualcomm’s octa-core Snapdragon 855.
This is the most powerful mobile CPU available on the market and to make things even better, Asus has paired the Snapdragon 855 CPU with 6GB of RAM on ZenFone 6Z.
Android 9.0 Pie
Another important feature that stands out when looking at ZenFone 6Z’s GeekBench results other than the smartphone’s hardware specs is the fact that ZenFone 6Z is running on Android 9.0 Pie. This is Google’s latest update and it comes with a plethora of features that deliver a premium user experience.
Launch Date
Even though Asus has yet to officially reveal the new smartphone, the Taiwanese based tech giant did confirm that ZenFone 6Z is scheduled to launch on May 16th.
Therefore, we don’t have to wait that much until we can see ZenFone 6Z in its full glory. If we are lucky enough, the smartphone’s press renders might also leak during the next couple of days and we will keep everyone posted if that happens.
