CES 2016 – Lenovo ThinkPad Stack Mobile Projector

From the start we admit: we do not like PowerPoint presentations of any kind. However, Lenovo has unveiled at CES 2016 their new ThinkPad Stack Mobile Projector, which brings joy to the faces of corporate people, but also to people like me, because it’s not just about slideshows.

Before the Lenovo ThinkPad Stack Mobile Projector, many projectors were created and even some mobile ones and have presented new ways of using such gadgets. However, its most important feature is that it is modular.

For those who care about technical data, this is a projector with a HD resolution that can stream content wirelessly via AirPlay and Miracast and has an internal battery that gives it a range of up to two hours. It also has a one watt speaker so you can watch movies either in the office or lets you introduce sounds into your presentations. In terms of connectivity it has a HDMI port, a microUSB and 3.5mm headphone jack (which the iPhone 7 might not have).

The projector will be launched in April 2016 and it will cost 400 dollars. Let’s go back to talking about those modules, the first of which will cost $50 and will be released throughout April. It is a mobile wireless charging plate for phones with the Qi charging standard.

You’ll be able to add a 1TB hard drive, an external battery (at CES 2016 was presented a 5,000 mAh one attached to the device, from which you can also charge other phones), and in the future others might be added. Also in Las Vegas, it was available with an external speaker, so as to become an entertainment center. All this will be on sale in 2016. In the end, you get a tower of modules with both business and entertainment capabilities.
