Rockstar Games is one of the biggest game developers in the world and GTA 5 (Grand Theft Auto) is its crown jewel. The game was originally released for PC, Xbox One and PS4 back in September of 2013 and despite it’s old age, people are still playing it to this day.
The reason why GTA 5 is such a big hit in the gaming community is because it offers amazing graphics, immersive roleplaying story and cool mechanics such as the ability to choose from Michael, Franklin and Trevor.
Cross Platform Game
As previously mentioned, the game was released for PC, Xbox One and PS4. However, the list of supported platforms doesn’t end there because the game can also be installed on Android powered smartphones.
Although, we need to mention that the smartphone version of GTA 5 is not released by the folks at Rockstar Games and it’s actually a mod.
Android Package Kit 1.09
The mobile version of GTA 5 is available in form of APK (Android Package Kit). Therefore, people who wish to install the game on their smartphones should make sure to enable the “Install apps from unknown sources” option which can be found in the Settings panel. In addition, APK games and updates require users to manually download and install them.
Nonetheless, the latest update for GTA 5 smartphone edition features the 1.09 build number and it’s available for download right now.
We need to mention that the game is quite large in size, being measured in at 2.6GB + 21.1MB as the latest APK update. In addition, the game requires a smartphone that runs on a minimum of Android 4.0 or higher operating system.
