Lately, a huge number of apps have made their appearance on iOS for free, all of this without jailbreaking the device. In this article we are discussing on the topic of how to download apps without jailbreaking, in particular, we’re talking about Cydia.

What is Cydia?

Cydia is an app that allows you to get and install other apps on your iOS smartphone. It was developed by Jay Freeman, who is mostly known as Saurik.

What’s the system?

We are talking about custom applications that are not usually available for us on Apple Store. Thanks to Cydia, you will now be able to install these apps.  CDR does this with the help of some APT (advanced packing tool) archives.

There are some users that are not sure whether this whole Cydia thing is legal or not, but you should keep in mind that if you jailbreak your device to install it it is an illegal app. And many of them don’t want to jailbreak their devices – so they don’t get Cydia. But now it not the place for this discussion anymore, because you can get Cydia without jailbreaking your device.

How to get Cydia without jailbreaking your device: use Safari Browser

First, you need to open Safari on your gadget. Then, type cydiaios7.com. On the URL bar. Press enter and wait for the site to load. At the bottom of the screen is an up arrow – tap on it. On options, click on Add to Home screen. Name the shortcut as Cydia and then press the Add button. Then close Safari, go to Home Screen, click on the Cydia app icon and everything should run smoothly from that point.
