How to Hide iPhone Unwanted Apps

Apple has nearly thirty first-party iPhone apps which you can’t delete from your iPhone.

Apps like Compass, Tips, and the Watch app all come back pre-installed on your iPhone with no way out to delete them, however now there’s a way to hide or delete them.

This trick works on any iPhone running iOS 9. It works with most Apple-made apps, however it won’t work for things just like the App Store or iTunes Store.

It’s unclear if it’ll work with previous versions of iOS; this worked on my iPhone 6 Plus and running iOS 9.2 multiple times with multiple apps, as well as Stocks, Tips, and Compass.

It’s pretty straightforward. Place your unwanted Apple app in a folder: for this explicit example, I used my Apple Watch app.

Once it’s within the folder, hold on the app icon till all of them start jiggling around.

Now you’ll be able to move that app around — move it to the third page of your folder.

If you don’t have a 3rd page, bring it to the second page, press the home button to prevent the apps from jiggling, then press and hold the app once more to maneuver it to the third page.

When you have your unwanted app within the third page of the folder, hold it on the right facet of the folder and keep holding it and at the same time press the home button together.

You’ll see the app you’re holding suddenly fly off into the highest left of your screen. Now the app is hidden!

However I did it (again, the app solely disappears once it’s on the correct facet of the third folder page once pressing the house button):

Go back into your original folder, or look on your phone. You won’t see that app anyplace.

For higher or worse, these apps don’t leave your phone forever — you’ll simply bring them back with an easy Spotlight search, which is pretty much easy for the user to do it.

Also, all of your hidden apps will unfortunately come on every occasion you restart or update your phone.

However if you seldom do this, you will be able to use your iPhone from app icons you don’t want!
