iPhone 4s vs iPhone SE – How does the latest iPhone fare against it’s predecessors?

One of the most prominent names in the world of technology, Apple has been innovating their offerings for quite a long time now. The company has been making many changes to the way their devices work, and has also been introducing new devices which grab user interest from time to time.

The company not only regularly releases new iPhones, but sometimes also surprises us by introducing an interim iPhone device which comes out between two major launches. Apple did it with the iPhone 5c in the past, and Apple is now doing it all over again with the iPhone SE on Monday.

Apple’s iPhone SE is a four inched device, which is expected to come out into the markets with 1GB of RAM, along with 16GB of storage space, and a 1600mAh battery life. The device is expected to look a lot like the iPhone 5s, but will carry the innards of an iPhone 6s device. The phone is expected to run on the powerful, Apple A9 processor.

Apple’s latest innovation will be launched on the 21st of March, along with Apple’s latest iPad Air 3 device, as well as new bands for the Apple Watch.

The company’s vision with the iPhone SE is to just introduce a device slightly better than the 5s, but with features that make it better than the 6s. It is unlikely that this device will be purchased by the buyers as an ‘upgrade’ but is probably a suitable option for first-time buyers.

The iPhone SE, in the order of release is close to the 5s, and here’s how it fares when you compare the Apple iPhone 4S with the upcoming Apple iPhone SE

Apple’s iPhone 4S came out into the markets in the October of 2011, and featured a 3.5 inched screen. The iPhone SE has an advantage here with a 4 inched screen. The iPhone 4S is upgradable to the latest version of the iOS, which is the same as that of the SE.

The iPhone 4S features an A5 chipset, along with a 512MB RAM. When it comes to storage space, the iPhone 4S comes out in the variants of  8GB, 16GB, 32GB and 64GB, while the iPhone SE features 1GB of RAM with an A9 processor and comes out with just a 16GB model.

The iPhone SE also has an advantage as the device comes with a fingerprint scanner and the build of a modern device when compared to the iPhone 4S which looks and feels quite old when compared to Apple’s latest phones. The iPhone SE also has a larger battery life than the iPhone 4S which comes out at just 1432mAh.
