Apple has been one of the hottest names when it comes to the world of technology. The company has been coming out with some of the biggest updates and upgrades of recent times, and has been able to change the way the markets work.

Apple has, over the past 41 years, managed to redefine many things in the markets of technology, and one of the biggest changes it has brought around is the fact that people now look at innovation in product design and technology with a different approach than the used to, in the past.

Apple has changed the very  concept of product design over the years and the company is now gearing up to launch the new generation of iPhone devices in September – the iPhone 7.

The iPhone 7 is expected to come out with the following specs and features:

  1. Dual Cameras

According to various leaked patents in the past, the new generation of iPhone devices is expected to come out featuring dual cameras.

The cameras would be placed in the centre, one at the left and one at the right, much like what can be observed in the images below as seen in the patents filed by Apple.

As per the USPTO documents, Apple is all set to introduce a dual camera system where while the first camera will be capturing the complete screen, the second camera, which will be coming out with a longer focal length, will let users capture clear shot even after zooming.

Apple might even be working towards 3D imagery with this.

  1. Self-Healing

Another patent that has been filed by Apple indicates the use of self-healing technology, where the device would be able to detect its own problems and take care of them all by itself!

Issues such as dead pixels, water in the device, and several other minor issues can now be treated by itself. The phone would enter a ‘self-diagnostic’ mode.

Apple officially describes this feature in the patent documents as “A method and system for performing maintenance, repair and recalibration functions on a portable electronic device so as to be undetected by a user.

The portable electronic device senses when a user is not in close proximity to the device or when the device is otherwise in an environment which will make the performance of the functions undetectable by a user.”

With these two features coming out, the future looks good for Apple’s iPhone 7. Other leaks have indicated waterproofing and a large storage as well.
