Apple launches a new lineup of iPhones on September 12th and this is leaving iPhone X owners wondering if they should upgrade or not. This is a tough question to answer, but the folks at Tom’s Guide might have just found the answer. Tom’s Guide is renowned for creating thorough reviews on smartphones and the latest device to be tested by them is iPhone XS. Unfortunately for Apple, the results are not good!
iPhone XS Battery Problem
As previously mentioned, iPhone X owners don’t really know if they should upgrade their daily carrier to one of the recently revealed iPhone XS because the two devices look the same! Not just that, but their hardware performances are also equal. To make things even worse, the tests performed by Tom’s Guide are showing that iPhone XS has a serious battery problem.
iPhone X launched last year and it’s one of the most successful devices that Apple ever made. This device ships with an innovative looking all-screen design, but that’s not the best thing about it. What makes iPhone X special is the fact that its battery can last for up to 10 hours and 49 minutes of heavy-duty usage. Therefore, we were shocked to find out that iPhone XS’s battery can last only for 9 hours and 48 minutes.
Compromising Battery for Extra Features
The only thing that iPhone XS brings to the table that iPhone X doesn’t is a bunch of new features. However, is it worth compromising battery life for those features? This is the difficult decision that Apple fans need to make when it comes to upgrading their daily carrier.
We should also mention that the bigger and more expensive iPhone XS battery life also lasts for a less time than iPhone X’s battery. iPhone XS reviews are showing that this device offers a battery time of 10 hours and 38 minutes.
