Is Lumia 650 going to be the last Lumia smartphone?


When first Microsoft took over the smartphone division of Nokia, there were talks of a Surface Phone which would be 100% Microsoft.

But the company was quick to cool any rumors down by commiting to the Lumia brand of smart phones.

It does not take a genius with a very high IQ to figure out that it has so far been a vicious downward slope, but the Surface Pro 3 and 4 has made quite a name for itself in the market and the first ever laptop by Microsoft Surface Book which was also released does make one think that will Microsoft finally shut Lumia down and start the Surface Phone franchise.

According to some of the previous rumors the Lumia 650 by Microsoft will come in to the market with a screen of 5 – inches for a full HD display.

Rumored to be the last Lumia device by Microsoft, Lumia 650 will look to feature 1 GB for RAM. The last Lumia smart phone is said to run on a Qualcomm Snapdragon 212 or a Qualcomm Snapdragon 210 processor.

In the camera department, the smart phone by Microsoft is said to sport a 8 – MP rear camera with an LED flashlight right beside it and in the front, the smartphone could sport a 5 – MP camera for selfies and video calling.

As for the storage department, the Lumia 650 is tipped to come out with 8 GB for inbuilt storage which could be expandable by the help of a microSD memory card. The smartphone by Microsoft will be out – of – the – box Windows 10 OS.

Possibly the last Lumia smart phone by Microsoft is rumored to come with a battery of 2000 mAh and is also rumored to sport some other basic features such as,Dual-SIM configurations, Qualcomm Quick Charge 2.0, Wi-Fi calling, NFC, and Bluetooth 4.1, HD Voice.

A Czech Republic based distributor might have possibly leaked some information about the Lumia 650 by listing the smart phone on his website.

According to the distributor based in Czech Republic, the last Lumia smart phone will cost about CZK 5,491/- which when converted becomes approximately $ 235 for the unlocked version of the phone in Czech Republic.
