Microsoft has been a name which has been coming out with a large number of updates and upgrades when it to the world of hardware technology.

The company has been coming out with a large number of devices in their hardware division, and has been trying hard to move their hardware devices into the markets. The market conditions are quite hostile towards the Windows based devices, as the users are not accepting them in a manner Microsoft anticipated they would.

The Windows 10 Mobile OS devices have a low acceptability rate and the users are not getting what they expected out of the devices.

Microsoft’s hardware devices have not been quite successful into the markets. Microsoft’s biggest, most ambitious hardware venture was into the Microsoft Mobiles division, as the company has been trying hard to push their phones forward.

Microsoft, ever since they took over Nokia’s mobile phones division, have been facing major losses in the markets and the company has never really recovered from the initial setback. The company has released Lumia 950, Lumia 550 and Lumia 650 over the past few months.

The company, over this period of time, has lost out over close to $8 Billion USD when it comes to the world of mobile phones, and had to let go of nearly 8000 employees.

Microsoft Corporation has also been trying their best to ensure success of their tablets and laptops.

The Surface series of devices have been quite successful for the company. Microsoft has noticed that the Surface series of devices have been getting a good traction for the company, and they are now willing to experiment more with it.

Microsoft has recently released their first laptop under the ‘Surface Book’ branding, and have also been speculated to be working on a Surface Phone in the future.

The XBOX Console has been one of their premier mainstays in the hardware markets and the company has been losing out even in this division.

Though the XBOX 360 outperformed the PS3, the PS4 has performed better than the XBOX one, and has beaten the sales of the Microsoft consoles 2:1. The PS4 is at close to 40million units sold, while the XBOX One is floundering at 19 million devices.

Microsoft is expected to release more devices in the October of 2016, when the Surface Phone is expected to be rolled out. Over the year, the company is also expected to show off the Lumia 750 and the Lumia 850 phones.
