It is no secret that Microsoft has suffered a rocky road on the smartphone market and has suffered multibillion losses and had to let go of thousands of employees all around the world. The situation for Microsoft has been utterly abysmal so far in the phone markets.
In the recent events Microsoft has got a ray of hope through the success of its latest installment in their trademark Operating System that is the Windows 10. Windows 10 has brought back the consumers towards the struggling Microsoft. Keeping this in mind, Microsoft has been busy launching a lot of devices trying to cash in the goodwill created by Windows 10.
Two of the many phones released my Microsoft have the motive to target the rural or lower markets. The phones: Lumia 640 XL LTE and Lumia 550 are supposed to cover the short budget consumers who would like to experience the all new Windows 10 in the cheapest way possible.
The Lumia 640 XL has come out featuring a 5.7 inches screen for display. The smartphone has 8 GB of inbuilt storage which is expandable through a microSD card up to 200 GB.
In the camera division the smartphone packs a 13 MP camera at the rear end and a 2 MP camera at the front. Lumia 640 XL has a long lasting battery of 3000 mAh and comes with Windows 10 OS. Lumia 640 XL is valued at $ 265.
The Lumia 550 came out featuring a 4.7 inches screen of HD display with 720 x 1280 resolutions accompanied by the pixel density of 315 ppi.
The cheapest phone packing Windows 10 runs on a 1.1 GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 210 SoC processor accompanied by Adreno 304 GPU.
The device also packs 1 GB for RAM and has 8 GB of internal storage which can be firther upgraded through a microSD card up to 200 GB.
The Lumia 550 comes out with a decent 5 MP rear camera and a 2 MP of front camera.
Lumia 550 is valued at $ 139 in the market making it the cheapest phone running on Windows 10.
