It is believed that on 1st of February, Microsoft is looking to launch Lumia 650 which could be its next and possibly the last ever Lumia smartphone.
The Redmond giant is looking to turn to its own Windows 10 mobile – based Surface Phone and will no longer look to continue with the Lumia series.
It is not the first time that the name Surface Phone has been around the rumor mills, when Microsoft took over the Nokia based smartphones it was majorly rumored that Microsoft would be looking to discontinue the Lumia franchise and start its own flagships of smartphones going by the name Surface Phone but at the time Microsoft were quick to deny any rumors and went on with the Lumia smartphones.
Windows Central has apparently reported that it has heard more than once that Lumia 650 may quite possibly be the last Lumia device to come out.
The Chief of Marketing at Microsoft, Chris Capossela last month hinted that in the second-half of 2016, Microsoft may reveal its first smartphone brand under the name ‘Surface’.
According to previous rumored reports Lumia 650 will come out with a screen of 5 – inches of full HD display. Possibly the last Lumia phone by Microsoft could feature 1 GB for RAM.
The up-coming Lumia phone is tipped to run on a Qualcomm Snapdragon 210 orQualcomm Snapdragon 212 processor.
In the storage department, the smartphone is said to pack 8 GB as inbuilt storage which can be expanded through a microSD memory card. Lumia 650 is rumored to pack a 8 – MP rear camera along with an LED flash light and a decent 5 – MP front camera for selfies and video calling. Lumia 650 will be an out – of – the – box Windows 10 smartphone.
The Lumia 650 is said to come out with a decent 2000 mAh battery and is tipped to include some other features such as, Qualcomm Quick Charge 2.0, dual-SIM configurations, Wi-Fi calling, HD Voice, and Bluetooth 4.1, NFC.
In a listing by a smartphone distributor based in Czech Republic recently leaked some information about Lumia 650 by Microsoft.
The Czech based distributor claimed that possibly the last Lumia smartphone by Microsoft will be valued at CZK 5,491/- which is approximately $ 235 in the Czech Republicfor the unlocked version of the phone.
