Microsoft has been a name which has popularly been known to be a major player in the world of software technology. And rightly so, too.

Microsoft has been coming out with a large number of technological revolutions in the software and the OS markets.

The recently released Windows 10 OS has been an exemplary example of such success for them.

Microsoft has now managed to come out with a large number of releases for their devices, and they now intend to establish a name for themselves in the markets of hardware technology as well.

The company has been trying to achieve this since quite some time, and acquisition of Nokia’s mobile phone division was the first step in this direction.

However, the company did not succeed in their directions as well as they had previously expected to.

Microsoft ended up making major losses, up to the tune of $8 Billion USD! Subsequently, Microsoft ended up letting go as many as 7800 employees.

However, with the release of the Lumia 950 and Lumia 950 XL, Microsoft has found an all new direction.

The company has been coming out with several releases, and the Microsoft Lumia 950 and 950 XL have been two of the hottest names in the markets.

The devices come out with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage.

Both the phones feature a 20MP camera, which is quite impressive. The devices both come with a 5MP wide-angled front camera, which captures better selfies in wider backgrounds.

Microsoft’s Lumia 950 and 950 XL are much alike, but the differences too can be observed.

The Lumia 950 comes out with a 5.2 inched screen,  while the Lumia 950 XL comes with a larger, 5.7 inched screen.

The phones also have a difference on chipsets, as the Microsoft Lumia 950 comes with the Snapdragon 808 SoC, while the XL variant of the Lumia 950 comes out with the more powerful processor from Qualcom – the Snapdragon 810.

The company knew that it is indeed a tough task to keep the high-end snapdragon processors cool, and hence the released the devices with ‘liquid cooling’ technology, which makes use of a ‘tablet class coolant’ to cool down the chipsets.

Various other impressive improvements have been made to the devices as well.

The Lumia 950 comes in at $549 while the Lumia 950 XL comes in at $649.
