Microsoft has been a company which has been around the markets of technology for a really long time now.
The company has been coming out with some of the best innovations in the world of software technology, but has not been known much for their role in the world of hardware.
The company has been working on newer ways out, and has now been changing the market trends with the release of the Windows 10 Mobile OS devices. Microsoft’s first Windows 10 Mobile OS device was the Lumia 950 and Lumia 950 XL phones, which came out in October of 2015. The company then followed it up with the Lumia 550 a few months later.
However these devices were all quite ineffective in gaining traction towards the windows 10 mobile OS, and the company suffered losses of colossal proportions.
Microsoft ended up losing out $8 Billion in the markets, and had to let go of nearly 8000 employees.
These are the numbers of the year 2014-15, however things were not so good in 2015 as well, as it was reported that Microsoft has lost out on more than 50% of their market share last year.
It was then being rumored that the company might be shifting gears and will no longer be working on the Lumia phones, but would instead work on the Surface Phone. However, they did release the Lumia 650 phone yesterday, giving an indication that the Lumia phones are not dead yet.
The Lumia 650 comes out into the markets with a 5 inched screen. The phone becomes the third phone to release with the windows 10 mobile OS, and comes out with 1GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage.
The company has released the Lumia 650 with a 13MP primary camera and a 5MP front camera.
The Lumia 650 runs on a Snapdragon 212 processor, and features a 2000mAh battery. These are the two of the most disappointing features about the device.
Interestingly, the phone has been dubbed a ‘business phone’ by the company, and comes out with premium looks as it carries an aluminum frame. The phone has been priced $200.
The Lumia 650 was expected to also release with a Lumia 650 XL device, according to several reports.
The 650 XL was supposedly a re-branded version of the Lumia 850. However the phone never really came out.
