Microsoft Power Apps is perhaps the most interesting application for Office (if we can call it that) which the Redmond giant ever released. With Power Apps, anyone will be able to create applications for Office without any basic knowledge about programming.
Power Apps’s goal is to provide business men and companies in general, with the ability to build their own applications without the help of a special IT department to develop it. With this tool, companies can manage the information using software designed by them for both internal and external use.
All information will be taken from any source available such as Microsoft Office 365, Dropbox, Salesforce, Oracle, SAP and even local systems connected to Microsoft, and then Power Apps will take over the information so that those interested will be able to create a useful application to be used by the companies.
Power Apps goal is to be as simple to use as possible. The application will provide a series of templates for graphic interface and the user can choose any of them. Applications can also be saved and offered to partners using Google Drive or Dropbox, as you would with any document.
If you are concerned about information security, Power Apps uses the same safety rules as the rest of corporate networks with which it is in partnership. If Oracle and SAP are working together with Power Apps I do not think you have anything to worry about.
However, the launch of Power Apps is not yet public. Microsoft is currently seeking a limited number of software specialists to manage a series of tests that will take place before the official launch. If you can not wait and want to try Power Apps of now, you can access the official website.
