Nokia has officially launched its new smartphone, the Nokia 5.1. The handset is a mid-range model with some very attractive features, including its screen, its design, and a new processor hardware.

Nokia 5.1 – Display & Design

The display of this new Nokia has very good specifications, being 5.5-inch IPS LCD with FullHD +, 2160 × 1080 resolution, and a pixel density of 443 PPP, which is optimal.

The screen comes in 18:9 aspect ratio.

The design of the display is pleasant, with curved edges, and resistant, with Gorilla Glass 3 glass.

The side edges are thin and the glass adapts to the metal frame in a very elegant way.

The casing is made of a single piece of aluminum and the metal body is elegantly rounded at the corners and has premium finishes.

Nokia 5.1 – Technical Specs

Nokia 5.1 comes in two versions, one with 2 Gb RAM and 16 Gb internal storage and another with 3 Gb RAM and 32 Gb internal storage.

This smartphone is powered by an octa-core MediaTek Helio P18 chipset at 2.0GHz. This processor is an enhanced version of Helio P10 and works with the ARM Mali T880 GPU.

Nokia 5.1 runs Android 8.0 Oreo in its stock version which is a Google Android One, so you’ll get the latest software updates for at least 2 years.

The cameras on this device are not very powerful but can still provide high-quality images. The main camera consists of a single 16MP sensor with f2.0 aperture and dual LED flash, ideal specifications, however, despite not having a dual camera system.

The front camera boasts 8MP and is a good selfies camera.

In conclusion, the new Nokia 5.1 is a mid-range smartphone with decent technical specs that provide a pleasant user experience if the demands are not too high.

However, since it boasts an octa-core CPU, Nokia 5.1 should’ve come out with at least 4 Gb RAM for the best experience but, as I’ve already mentioned, if you’re looking for a mid-range smartphone at an affordable price and you’re not running highly demanding apps, you’ll enjoy this handset.
