Minecraft is one of the most popular video games in the world and everyone knows it. A great factor in this ever-increasing level of fame and admiration that Minecraft is gaining also lies in the fact that Mojang, its developer, always knows how to make the game shine. Minecraft has been in the public eye a lot recently because its new owner, Microsoft, has decided to implement an update to unify the game across all the platforms that support it. Sony notoriously declined the offer (out of sheer pettiness and spite, as many claim), but the rest are down with the Better Together update which is now in beta testing.
Official Minecraft Magazine
And perhaps to further profit off of this recent wave of good exposure that the game is getting these days, Mojang has now announced that an official Minecraft magazine is being developed right now in collaboration with Egmont. Yes, that’s right, Mojang will soon put out an entire magazine about all things Minecraft. So if you’re a fan of the game, you will surely love this idea. Those that don’t play Minecraft on the regular might see this gesture as being a bit over the top, but hey, if the fans want it, then why not do it?
The upcoming official Minecraft magazine will be 60 pages long and the main bulk of it will consist of tips, tricks and survival stories. But there will also be other things included in it, such as a fun new comic starring Sparks, Monty, Bear and Scout. If you’re a Minecraft player, then you’ve already guessed it: each character stands in for a type of Minecraft player. It’s amazing to see Mojang give back so much to the devoted community of players that helps Minecraft thrive each day, so we’re very excited to see the magazine reach other countries besides the UK, where it is currently available.
