Pokémon Scarlet and Violet, according to a fresh leak, might introduce its most fresh Pokémon ever since Generation 5. The first two Pokémon of the ninth generation, Scarlet and Violet, will be released. Those two games are also being launched in the wake of Pokémon Legends: Arceus, which was highly praised by critics.
Pokémon Scarlet & Violet have been characterized as having a continuous open environment, but nothing is confirmed about how they would alter the main formula. For now, all we know about the game’s open world is that it will have large, expansive locations like those in Pokémon Legends: Arceus. A seamless open environment would be a significant improvement over previous Pokémon games and would carry on the open world theme introduced in Pokémon Legends: Arceus. There are currently few leaks concerning the universe of Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, but this latest leak may disclose however many new Pokémon are on the horizon.
Pokémon Scarlet and Violet may have been leaked in a YouTube video by SwitchForce (via Dexerto). They don’t name a particular source, merely noting that this information started throughout the “Asian Pokémon community” and is now finding its way across the Pacific. At minimum 130 additional Pokémon are expected to be included in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, according to a report from SwitchForce, which cites a leakage. However, because of the leak’s dubious legitimacy, it should be treated with caution.
It’d be a huge change from past generations’ numbers if this leak is accurate. The popularity of the games would almost certainly rise if the number of new Pokémon was increased from the current 96 to 130.
As additional Pokémon are added, the game’s open world will become even more exciting for players to explore, with new species and locations to uncover. Despite the fact that the basis of this story is dubious, the prospect of discovering at minimum 130 additional Pokémon is nevertheless thrilling.
