Even though Windows 10 is the most popular and the most optimized PC operating system in the world, it still has its fair share of bugs and issues. Take for example the dreaded Blue Screen of Death (BSOD).

No one wants to see the BSOD and that’s a fact! If this error pops up, then it means that the designated PC needs to be completely rebooted and users will lose all their data.

Nonetheless, a new error has been plaguing the Windows 10 community. The error we are talking about is called “VIDEO_DXGKRNL_FATAL_ERROR” and sadly, this issue is directly related to BSOD.

In addition, this error is sometimes also accompanied by the “0x00000113” numeric error and it states the following text: “Your PC ran into a problem and needs to restart. We’re just collecting some error info, and then we’ll restart for you”.

How to Get Rid of the Error

Most of the time, this error can be fixed by updating Windows 10 to the latest version. Therefore, the first thing that Windows 10 users need to do is to check their operating system’s build number and see if there are any new updates available for download.

In order to check for new updates, users will need to press the Windows Key + I at the same time and then open the “Update & Security” panel. From there on, click on “Check for Updates” and Windows 10 will automatically update itself.

Updating Drivers

If updating the operating system didn’t work, then there is one more thing that Windows 10 users need to do. This time, they will need to check for any new driver updates.

This can be done by righting clicking on the Windows Key and then selecting “Device Manager”. The next step is to expand the “Display Adapters” section and click on “Graphics Card Driver” then select the “Update Driver” option.
