Similarities:

Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge as well as the Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge both feature a Super AMOLED capacitive touchscreen which can display as many as 16M colors. Both the devices feature Corning Gorilla Glass 4 protection. Both the phones feature a resolution of 1440 x 2560 pixels. Both the phones come out in variants of 32 GB as well as 64 GB.

Differences: (What makes the Samsung Galaxy S7 better)

Samsung Galaxy S7 comes out with many improvements over the Samsung Galaxy S6. The S7 Edge comes out with a 5.5 inched screen, which is larger than the 5.1 inched screen of the Samsung Galaxy S6. The S7 Edge comes out in a single-SIM variant as well as a dual SIM variant. Additionally two of the biggest features that set the S7 Edge apart from the S6 Edge are that of –

ii) MicroSD card support – the MicroSD card support was also removed from the S6 Edge, but has been reintroduced in the S7 as well as the Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge.

The Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge comes with Android 6 Marshmallow OS out of the box. When it comes to the chipset, the S7 comes out with a 4GB RAM when compared to the 3GB RAM of the S6. The battery life of the Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge(3600mAh), too, is much better than that of the S6 Edge (2600mAh).
