Leaked reports have indicated that Samsung is holding their Galaxy Unpacked event on the 20th of February, 30 days from now.
The company intends to release their latest device at the event, along with a few other announcements, possibly pertaining to its gear VR and smart-watches.
Samsung will be showing off the phone in all its glory at the Mobile World Congress event, scheduled to begin in just a few days after the Galaxy Unpacked event.
The Samsung Galaxy S7 has been making it to the news quite frequently off late, and the device is expected to come out in four variants – the S7, S7 Edge, S7 Edge Plus, and an S7 Plus.
The first three are expected to get a simultaneous release, while the fourth one might be scrapped or will release at a later date.
As per latest rumors the company intends to go head-to-head with iPhone 6s, and has introduced two new features – Vivid Images and Pressure Sensitive Display, as to combat the Live Photos and 3D Touch from Apple.
The company is also looking forward towards the inclusion of the next big thing in the world of smartphones, the Snapdragon 820 processor.
On an interesting note, South Korean rival LG will also be locking horns with Samsung this time with their LG G5, as the company gears up with similar specs and a new and improved design. The Snapdragon 820 is also expected to be a part of this LG device.
As of this moment there are no official details that are available about the S7 or any of its variants, but the picture is expected to get more clear in the months to follow.
