Samsung has been a company which has been one of the smartest business units in the world of Android technology.

The company has been making good use of the opportunity ever since the Android revolution started off, and is the world’s largest mobile phone manufacturer in terms of sales volumes.

The company has been around for a good while now, and has been capitalizing at every opportunity that they got.

The latest release from Samsung is also one of their most awaited releases as the company gears up to release the Samsung Galaxy S7 – their gen-next flagship device.

There have been many rumors surrounding the release of the S7, but there has been no official confirmation from Samsung regarding any of them.

However, we now have a date. In a little over 2 weeks from now, Samsung would be holding their Galaxy Unpacked event in Barcelona, where the Samsung Galaxy S7 and the gen next Samsung VR devices area likely to be shown off, as was seen in a teaser that they launched.

Samsung is expected to release the device with 5.1 inches of screen, along with a large 3300mAh battery.

The phone is expected to feature an impressive 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage space. The phones are expected to come out in two variants based on the processor – one featuring the Samsung made Exynos 8890 processors, and the other variant featuring the much awaited Snapdragon 820. Both the variants would feature Adreno 530 graphics.

Talking about the variants, the phone is expected to release in at least 3 variants based on size – the first being the regular, Samsung Galaxy S7, the second being the Galaxy S7 Edge, which will feature an edged display and is expected to be slightly larger than the regular S7.

The third variant is expected to be the Edge+ which is expected to be even larger and might be coming out with dual-edged displays.

A fourth variant was also in talks, but has now been scrapped as there has been no word regarding the release of the phone.

It was being anticipated that three devices will be coming out together, but the latest reports indicate only the S7 and the S7 Edge would be coming out together, while the S7 Edge Plus is getting a late release. However, there has been no word on the  S7 Plus and it is assumed to be scrapped.

More details to follow as we draw closet to the 21st of February.
