Samsung Galaxy S7 To Release On 21 February – Know The Details

Samsung has been one of the smartest players in the markets of technology. The company has been coming out with release after release which has changed the very way we see the world of android technology to be.

Samsung’s latest release is expected to be that of the Samsung Galaxy S7, which would be the company’s next flagship phone.

Samsung is expected to release it on the 21st of February during the Galaxy Unpacked event, the company has let out teasers around the event, too.

The teasers depict a box being opened, with a ‘7’ being formed around the edges. This indicates that the company is indeed looking forward to the arrival of the S7.

Announcements regarding Samsung’s Virtual Reality devices are also expected to be made during the same event.

Samsung Galaxy S7 is expected to come out with the following features:

  1. Pressure Sensitive Touch

Samsung locks horns with Apple with this one. According to the reports from the Wall Street Journal, Samsung is expected to come out with a ‘pressure sensitive’ screen which will allow the users to apply pressure on the screen to perform specific actions. The company has made no comments regarding that as of now, but it looks like Apple is gearing up to combat the 3D touch feature of Apple.

  1. Vivid Photos

Another shot at Apple. Samsung intends to introduce ‘vivid photos’ which would be quite similar to the Live photos of Apple. The company has not made any comments regarding the device yet, and as per an engineer who wishes to remain unnamed, the Samsung vivid photos will not be capturing audio.

  1. Two Variants on Processors

The company is expected to release the Samsung Galaxy S7 in two variants based on the processors, as it will come out featuring  the much awaited Snapdragon 820 in some markets, while in other markets it would come out with Samsung’s own – the Exynos 8890 processor. It was earlier believed that Samsung and Qualcomm have an exclusive contract, but the release of the Le Max Pro proved that wrong.

  1. Three Variants Based on Size

There will be at least three variants of the phone based on size – the Samsung Galaxy S7 which will be 5.1 inches in size, the Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge, which would again be 5.1 inches but would feature an edged display, similar to the S6 Edge. Dual Edges are also expected. The third variant would be the Edge+ which would be 5.7 inches in size.
