Troubleshooting Yahoo Mail in UC Browser – Issues and Fixes

Many people are using the UC Browser since it’s very efficient and fast. Truth be told, nowadays Google and Firefox are not as reliable as they used to be. However, this doesn’t mean you can’t encounter some errors on the UC Browser as well. For example, one of the most often encountered errors is the one from Yahoo! Mail, which we will be discussing today.

What Happens with Yahoo! Mail?

Recently, many users reported that Yahoo! Mail required them to upgrade their mail. The problem is that UC is not compatible with the updated features on the browser. Naturally, people tried to find out how to turn back to the previous version, but there seems to be no solution.

How to Troubleshoot It?

Luckily, the Yahoo! Team offered an answer on their forum. The first thing they addressed was the existence of an account key. The Yahoo Account Key is a feature that lets you sign in by using your phone and phone number, without the actual password. However, this works only if you had previously enable it. In case you did and you are experiencing this problem with the mail, there are some solutions. Visit their Help page for the Account Key to find out more about this.

Another option to this problem is to switch from the Beta mail to the Classic one. Here are the steps you need to follow:

  1. Go to the inbox.
  2. Go to Settings (top right corner of your screen).
  3. Access Theme.
  4. Next, you should see the section Inbox spacing.
  5. Go to Message Layout.
  6. Access Message Tabs.
  7. Go to More Settings.
  8. Here, you should see the button Switch to classic mail. If you have extra questions, you can use the Help button. Be careful, since this may be difficult to notice because it’s not in bold.
