Sony has always been known to launch Android phones, but Viao will not tread the same path.
The erstwhile laptop manufacturer has made an entry into the mobile phone business and surprisingly has chosen the Windows 10 OS to produce their first business phone for the Japanese market, the Windows Phone Biz.
Do not just be fooled in by the brand name into thinking that the phone would be expensive; actually it is not.
The phone is a mid range one and would cost lesser than you think it would. Moreover, the device will be launched in the Japanese market, where competition amongst brands is tense; it would have no choice but to reduce the price of the device to gain a strong foothold in the market.
Since the phone is a Windows 10 one, needless to say, the performance of the device is much better than its Android counter parts. The features are also quite commendable, especially continuum, which would allow a user to plug the device into a larger one and display the screen on a larger device.
The phone will be priced approximately at $427. As for the specifications, it would have a screen size of 5.5 inches, with a resolution of 1080P, a 3 GB RAM, about 16 B of Internal memory and an External memory card slot, where you can add in more 64GB to your phone.
That is not all, the rear camera of the device would be a 13MP camera, with a front camera as well. This phone is powered by a 2800mAh unit and derives processing power from a dual quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 617. The aluminum body looks rather smart and presentable.
Although the device is a really good one, it has been seen to have some problems with its choice of USB type ports.
Instead of choosing the USB Type C port that we are all expecting to see in all devices now, the device has made the rather poor choice of a micro USB 2.0 port which really does not make sense.
We nevertheless think that the launch of this phone should do wonders for the Windows phones in the market.
