  1. 256 Member Groups

In one of the most critical WhatsApp updates, it has now been announced that the company has officially increased the size of groups from 100 members to 256 members! This comes in as a major upgrade to the same.

When the service began, users were limited to 50 members per group. However, this later expanded into 100, and has now grown to 256. The more the people on the group, the higher the engagement for WhatsApp.

Facebook owned WhatsApp has now dropped their yearly subscription fee that used to be $0.99 per month in the past.

The company made this decision a few days ago, as it wanted to ensure that every user, regardless of the fact that they owned a card or not, could use the service with ease.

The nominal amount that it used to charge has now been dropped and users now have a lifetime subscription to WhatsApp.

  1. Video Calling Coming In?

Leaked screenshots in the past have indicated that the company is indeed working towards a brand new system of video calling, and they are now looking forward to release the service quite soon.

Video calling on WhatsApp has been one of the most demanded features by the users, and the company now looks like they will release it before the end of the year 2016.
