In January 2010 there was a revolution in the messaging industry. WhatsApp was initially released on January 2010 by Jan Koum and Brian Acton. Jan Koum and Brian Acton both used to work for Yahoo! Up until they left the company on September 2007.
These two young men were then high on hopes so they decided to join Facebook, from where they were ultimately rejected – it was then that they founded WhatsApp, which was destined to become a Facebook property in the years to follow.
After the release of this revolutionary app, lots of messaging networks have gone quiet like the chat clients Google talk and Yahoo messenger.
Also it has very capably replaced the SMS. Off late, the company is making news due to leaked screenshots showing video calling feature arriving on the app!
According to surveys by the date 30 September 2015 there are 900 active monthly users all over the world on WhatsApp. It has been deemed as the most used way of communication keeping the whole world in mind.
After being acquired by Facebook for a massive $19 Billion WhatsApp has seen some remarkable changes.Changes like theWhatsApp Web and WhatsApp call have all come in as a positive change, and the next big thing to hit them would be the WhatsApp Video Calling feature.
The thing about the above mentioned features are that they were demanded by the users themselves. It was a much needed change and the company did a good thing by bringing them forward.
Recently a German website has leaked some images which leads one to believe that after WhatsApp calling feature, WhatsApp is finally looking to launch the WhatsApp video calling feature.
Based on the leaked screenshots by the German website, WhatsApp’s video calling feature will feature the options to mute and switch cameras. It is also understood that the interface is quite similar to the WhatsApp voice call, with the green tabs.
As of this moment, it is being said that beta testers are already on the feature, testing it.
There has been no official comment on the subject from WhatsApp, but the video calling feature is expected to be released around March 2016 exactly a year after the launch of the voice calling feature on WhatsApp.
