Xiaomi Mi5 and Xiaomi Mi 5 Plus Release Date – Better Features Than Before

Xiaomi is really taking a lion’s share of all the popularity in the developing countries with its wonderful features in a cheap rate.

It’s the favorite of the youngsters, especially students who look for all features in a very economical package.

The Chinese mobile producer is going to be launching the next version of the Mi phone, called the Xiaomi Mi5.

Reports state that it has been inspired by iPhone and Samsung Edge and will come with its own plus version, that needless to say, would be called the Xiaomi Mi 5 Plus.

Rumors state that the device might be released in the month of January, on the 21st. but are the rumors to be believed?

If you consider the source of the information, then you’ll probably not consider passing it off as a hoax.

According to a report by GLZ China, the famous website My Drivers, that came up with a roadmap of mobile productions in 2016 and also spoke of the iPhone 4 inch device, is the main source of information.

It is from here that they have been able to quote the tentative date of release and the speculations about what the phone would be like.

The website states that the Xiaomi Mi5 would come with a 5.2 inch screen, which would provide high definition display.

The phone will be covered with a 2.5D curved glass not just for protection, but also for better quality display.

Under the bonnet, this phone would feature the  most powerful processor by Qualcomm, the Snapdragon 820.

Of course, there would be no memory expansion features and would come with 32GB internal memory, which does not seem like enough if you are fond of music and movies.

Apart from this, we are also going to see the larger Mi5 Plus, which would have a Quad HD screen, sized at the same 5.2 inches.

Yes, I know; I was also expecting the ‘plus means bigger’ theory to be at work here as well, but that does not seem to be the case.

The phone would be same as the Mi5, except for the larger 4GB RAM and the 64GB internal storage.

There is a possibility that this model may pass off as another variant of the Xiaomi Mi 5 and that the Mi 5 Plus may indeed be a larger model, but till we have proof, we’d need to consider this as the Mi 5 Plus.
