With about 20 million players that are active every month, Counter-Strike: Global Offensive (CS: GO) stands firmly on top for a multiplayer FPS released ten years ago. There are lots of things to do in the game, whether you choose the single-player mode or compete against others.

CS: GO also has some exciting maps to choose from, and it can become difficult to say for sure which one suits your needs the most. That’s why we’re here to present you a tier list of the maps from CS: GO, as published by TierMaker.com after community voting.

S-Tier

  • Mirage
  • Inferno
  • Dust 2
  • Cache

A-Tier

  • Overpass
  • Nuke
  • Train

B-Tier

  • Cobblestone
  • Vertigo

C-Tier

  • Office

D-Tier

  • Canals
  • Italy
  • Assault
  • Militia

We’re not surprised at all to see Dust 2 present in the S-Tier. It’s practically the remake of de_dust2 from CS 1.6, a map that was heavily overwhelmed by players and that had influenced the FPS gaming genre.

CS: GO achieved the performance of making many fans forget about the legendary Counter-Strike 1.6.  The newer game has brought a lot of improvements in the graphics area in the first place. However, the gameplay part hasn’t been neglected as well.

We must also mention that we weren’t expecting to see the Italy map in the last tier. This map has also been heavily influencing online shooters, similar to all the major maps of CS: GO.

As the Steam page of the game says:

Counter-Strike: Global Offensive (CS: GO) expands upon the team-based action gameplay that it pioneered when it was launched 19 years ago. CS: GO features new maps, characters, weapons, and game modes, and delivers updated versions of the classic CS content (de_dust2, etc.).
