The Mobile World Congress tech event is just around the corner and all smartphones fans are waiting for the event to kick off because this is when Samsung is planning to launch its next-gen Galaxy S10 flagship smartphone. However, Samsung is not going to be the only company that holds a panel at the Mobile World Congress because LG is expected to make waves in the smartphone industry as well.

LG V50 is Coming Soon

LG has been competing against Samsung for the last decade and it always came up on the short end of the stick. Well, it looks like 2019 might be the year when LG gets the upper hand. The Korean publication ETNews is reporting that a source has told them that LG wants to reveal the highly anticipated LG V50 during the Mobile World Congress as a rival to Galaxy S10.

Rumored Specs

Since we don’t have any official confirmation about LG V50’s hardware specs, we advise all LG fans to take everything with a pinch of salt. ETNews is saying that LG V50 will be powered by Qualcomm’s octa-core Snapdragon 855 (7nm) CPU that is equipped with a vapor-chamber cooling system. As if this wasn’t impressive enough, LG V50 is also said to ship with a 6.0-inches display and a massive 4,000 mAh battery.

5G Technology

5G technology is the next “big thing” and all smartphone manufacturers are trying to adopt in 2019. Considering that LG is already working with Qualcomm (see the Snapdragon 855 CPU), tech analysts are predicting that LG V50 will support 5G technology. Qualcomm has already developed a 5G modem for smartphones and it makes perfect sense that it will be featured on LG V50.

Conclusion

From the looks of it, LG V50 is shaping to become one of the most exciting smartphones of 2019. However, everything that we know right is based on rumors and speculations. Therefore, all these rumored specs might prove to be false.
