We have some great news for Overwatch fans! Blizzard has announced that a new map is coming and that it will be located in the middle of Paris. As all Overwatch fans know by now, nearly all Overwatch maps are based on real-life locations and from the looks of it, the upcoming one might feature a futuristic version of the Eiffel tower. The new map is currently available for beta testing on the PTR program and everyone who has access to the PTR servers can check it out.

New Paris Map

The first thing that we want to mention about the new Paris map for Overwatch is that it’s an Assault one. Therefore, Overwatch fans should expect to have lots of fun on the action-packed map. In addition, the map features lots of interesting spots such as a bakery, cabaret and even a grand palace that can be seen in the heart of the city.

Expected Release Date

As previously mentioned, the new Paris map is available for testing on the PTR servers. This means that Blizzard is going to keep the map on the PTR for at least one more week until it fixes all bugs and makes sure that everything is running as intended. As soon as Blizzard’s developers are sure that the map doesn’t have any bugs, the map will start rolling out OTA (over the air) to PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4.

2019 Overwatch League

Even though the new Paris map has just been released on the PTR, Blizzard is already working on a future one that will be based in Busan. This second map is going to arrive somewhere in August and the reason why Blizzard is investing so much into creating new content for Overwatch is that last year’s Overwatch League was highly successful and Blizzard wants that to continue in 2019.
