Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 is launching on all platforms today. This is one of the most highly anticipated games of the year and its expected to bring a “breath of fresh air” to the gaming market since Battle Royales such as Fortnite and PUBG have been ruling the market for this last couple of years. Call of Duty is a successful franchise that benefits from worldwide recognition which means that it will have a head start in this Battle Royale competition. The reason why Call of Duty: Black Ops 4’s popularity on Twitch matters so much is because this streaming platform is what helped kickstart the success and world domination of Battle Royale games. Right from the moment that Call of Duty: Black Ops 4’s beta servers went live, big streamers such as Ninja, Shroud and Doctor Disrespect started streaming it.
Fortnite and PUBG are a Thing of the Past
Even though Fortnite and PUBG are the most popular FPS games right now, the two titles are slowly but surely becoming a thing of the past. Big companies that are in charge of successful FPS franchises have seen the success of Battle Royale models and they are all creating their own versions of it with Call of Duty: Black Ops 4’s Blackout mode being the perfect example of that.
Blackout Mode: Is it Good?
Whenever a new FPS game is announced, the question that all fans start asking is if the new game will feature a Battle Royale mode. Luckily, Treyarch didn’t want to copy the exact Battle Royale model that Fortnite and PUBG offer and created its own version of it and called it Blackout Mode.
Blackout mode is really fun and it helped Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 became the most streamed game on Twitch during the time that the beta servers went live. This is great news for people who got bored of Fortnite and want to try something new because Blackout mode offers them a AAA experience of what a Battle Royale mode should feel like with impressive graphics, solid gunplay mechanics and no bugs.
Zombies
If there’s something everyone knows about Call of Duty games, then it must be zombies. The developers of Call of Duty have always found a way to implement zombies in their games and they did the same with Call of Duty: Black Ops 4. The cool thing about this is that zombies can also be found in the Blackout mode which adds another thing that players can worry about or have fun with.

Many games have tried dethroning Fortnite and PUBG, but all of them failed. From the looks of it, Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 has what it takes to become the number one FPS and Battle Royale game in the world surpassing both Fortnite and PUBG.
