Check Out LG’s Brand-New UltraGear Gaming Monitor (World’s First 1ms IPS Monitor)

One of the things that set LG apart from all other tech companies is the fact that LG doesn’t put all its focus on smartphones. LG likes to experiment with other types of hardware and this is why the tech giant has just launched a brand-new gaming monitor. However, this not a regular gaming monitor, it’s the world’s first IIPS gaming monitor that features a 1ms GTG response time which in simpler terms translates to super-fast!

New LG Gaming Monitor

The monitor is called UltraGear and it is available in 27-inches (27GL850) and 38-inches (38GL950G) size models. The two models feature curved screens that are equipped with minimal bezels which make them look like full-screen displays. In addition, both models offer 98% DCI-P3 side color gamut.

Top Features

The smaller 27-inches model is compatible with Nvidia’s G-Sync and it features an impressive refresh rate of 144Hz. Moreover, the gaming monitor offers a pixel resolution of 2560 x 1440 and a maximum brightness level of 350 nits. To top it all off, the gaming monitor is compatible with HDR10 content and it features two HDMI ports alongside a DisplayPort.

On the other hand, we have the bigger 38-inch model which ships with a higher resolution WQHD 3840 x 1060 panel that features a maximum brightness level of 450 nits. Furthermore, the base refresh rate for the gaming monitor is 144Hz and it can also be overclocked to 175Hz. The gaming monitor works with Nvidia’s G-Sync and it is compatible with the VESA DisplayHDR 400 standard. Lastly, the 38-inch gaming monitor from LC offers a supports a single HDMI port and a DisplayPort.

Final Words

Unfortunately, we don’t know how much the two gaming monitors are going to be priced. However, what we do know is that the 27-inches gaming monitor will go on sale with pre-orders in the US starting July 1st.
