Even though Microsoft might not have lots of exclusive Xbox titles as Sony does for PlayStation, there are some games that only Xbox fans can play and they are amazing with the Gears of War franchise being the perfect example of that. With that said, it should come as no surprise that Gears 5 which is scheduled to launch next month (September) is one of the most highly anticipated Xbox games.
The developers who are in charge of Gears 5 have already showcased the new game during the recent E3 2019 event but now, they have made Gears 5 available for pre-download. The reason why this is important is because it shows us just how big the game is so that we can get an idea of what to expect.
Gears 5 Size Revealed
The file size for Gears 5 on Xbox One is 50.04GB. The PC edition of the game is going to even bigger, weighing at 80GB! However, the file size of Gears 5 is going to grow bigger during the upcoming future because the game is going to receive additional content and DLCs. Take for example Gears of War 4 which grew to more than 120GB after it was launched.
The Biggest and Most Extensive Post-Launch Support
The Coalition is the name of the developer in charge of Gears 5 and it has promised that this game is going to have the “biggest and most extensive post-launch support” in the Xbox game history. This means that Gears 5 fans will receive access to more maps and new features a couple of months after the game launches.
Official Launch Date
Nonetheless, Gears 5 is scheduled to launch on September 10th. However, Xbox fans who buy the Ultimate Edition or are subscribed to Microsoft’s Xbox Game Pass will be able to start playing the game on September 5th.
