It’s never been a better time to be a smartphone fan. This year is shaping up to be a great one for smartphone fans with Samsung and Huawei getting ready to launch their foldable smartphones. However, this is not all that we should be excited for.

Google is also scheduled to launch its next-generation Pixel 4 and Pixel 4 XL smartphones in October. Luckily, we don’t have to wait that long in order to see what the new smartphones are going to look like because the press renders for Pixel 4 and Pixel 4 XL have been leaked.

Pixel and Pixel 4 XL

Last year Google made the big mistake of following the display top-notch trend that Apple started in 2017 with iPhone X. Android fans were disappointed to find out that the pure Android flagship smartphone couldn’t do better than iPhone X and therefore, Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL didn’t do that well on the market. Luckily, Apple is not repeating the same mistake.

The leaked press renders for Pixel 4 and Pixel 4 XL reveal to us that the two smartphones will ship with a punch-hole design. This design has been pioneered by Samsung with its highly popular Galaxy S10 and now, Google is following the trends once again.

Exciting Features

Even though the leaked press renders for Pixel 4 and Pixel 4 XL don’t show off that many features, we can clearly tell that the larger Pixel 4 XL will ship with a dual-camera setup on both the front and the rear side while the smaller Pixel 4 will not feature a dual-camera setup on any sides.

In addition, the two smartphones don’t feature a visible fingerprint scanner which leads us to believe that both of them will feature facial recognition technology which has become a “must” on flagship smartphones nowadays.
