Tuesday has been a crazy day for Huawei fans. The Chinese based tech giant unveiled a handful of new smartphones that are going to take the market by storm during the upcoming days. Huawei Mate 20 Pro was the highlight of the unveiling event, but the smartphone that stole the spotlight is Mate 20 X. Rumors and leaks pointed towards the fact that Huawei is planning to launch a gaming smartphone, but no one expected it to be this good!
Huawei Mate 20 X
Even though experts were predicting last month that Apple’s next-generation iPhone XS Max is going to rule the smartphone industry, Huawei has made sure to prove them wrong. Mate 20 X is going to hold the title of being the company’s flagship smartphone and it ships with so many high-end hardware specs that the likes of iPhone X Max and Galaxy Note 9 can’t even compete against it.
The new smartphone is so powerful that it’s being categorized as a “gaming smartphone”. This might come as a surprise for most people, but there are many gamers who love to play titles such as Fortnite on their smartphones which means that Mate 20 X is appealing to a big market. Nonetheless, let’s take a look under Mate 20 X’s hood and see what hides beneath.
Next-Gen Display Technology
Mate 20 X is equipped with a massive 7.2-inches display that is coated in Corning Gorilla Glass for extra protection and cracks. Furthermore, the display uses AMOLED technology which puts out a pixel resolution of 1080 x 2240 and a pixel density of 346 ppi.
The most impressive thing about Mate 20 X is the powerful HiSilicon Kirin 980 (7nm) processor that fuels it. This is an octa-core processor that clocks at 2.6GHz and it is paired with a Mali-G76 MP10 graphics processing unit and 6GB of RAM.
