Don’t you hate receiving spam calls? This is one of the most annoying things ever and it looks like Google knows that too well. The reason we are saying this is because the newly released Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL are equipped with a feature named call screening. This feature uses Google’s Android AI assistant in order to determine which calls are fake or spam and then it automatically transcribes them to conversation in real time.

Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL to Receive Screen Call

Even though this feature might be exclusive to Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL right now, the folks at Droid Life have found out that this is not the case. The Android parent is planning to release a major update called Google Phone and Droid Life has figured out that it will introduce Screen Calling to Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL.

Spam Calls

Spam calls are getting out of hand nowadays and big network companies such as T-Mobile are looking for ways to ban them in order to improve user experience that their subscribers receive. Luckily, Google has found a solution for this problem and Android fans don’t have to deal with spam calls anymore.

Expected Launch Date

While the new feature will certainly arrive to Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL, we don’t know the date exact date. Google has yet to announce the official release date for its upcoming operating system update and therefore, the only thing that we know about the update’s release date is that its TBD (to be decided).

Final Words

The fact that Google is planning to give Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL the same treatment as its latest flagship smartphones are receiving shows us that Google is not going to forgive about Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL anytime soon.
