Even though Apple’s Watch Series 4 might hold the title of being the best smartwatch available on the market right now, this doesn’t mean that Samsung is ready to give up yet. In fact, rumor has it that the South Korean based tech giant is getting ready to launch the much anticipated Galaxy Watch Active 2 which will ship with lots of fitness and health-related features. Fortunately, we don’t have to rely only on rumors anymore because an official press render of the upcoming smartwatch has just been leaked.

Leaked Watch Active 2 Press Render

Since Samsung is such a massive company, keeping a secret is nearly impossible. The reason behind this is that the information about Samsung’s next-gen products goes through many hands and press renders always get leaked. With that said, today we are going to check out everything there is to know about Watch Active 2 which can be seen in the picture featured above.

Highlight Features

The feature that stands out the most when looking at the leaked press render of Watch Active 2 is that the smartwatch is equipped with a leather band. The interesting thing about this feature is that the previous Watch Active model only offered the leather band as a post-purchase option.

The smartwatch has a red ring around the power button. We don’t know what the red ring will be used for but Samsung is surely going to reveal this information when Watch Active 2 gets officially announced. In addition, the smartwatch is believed to ship in the 40mm and 44m sizes alongside three color variants.

Expected Launch Date

Even though Samsung has yet to announce the official launch date of Watch Active 2, rumor has it that Samsung is planning to announce the smartwatch during a press event that is scheduled to take place on August 7th.
