The gaming industry is booming and there is no doubt about that. This is why companies such as Google and Apple have decided that 2019 is the year for them to join the gaming industry and launch their own services. Nonetheless, the NPD Group has released its report for the bestselling games and consoles in March and to everyone’s surprise, Nintendo Switch has been outselling PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
Best-Performing Games in 2019
The first thing that the NPD Group report reveals is that the best-performing game of March 2019 is none other than Ubisoft’s The Division 2. This is the sequel to The Division and according to multiple reviews, Ubisoft did a great job with the sequel.
Moreover, Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice comes in the second place and for the third, we have MLB 19: The Show. We have to note that Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice is the second bestselling game released by FromSoftware, with Dark Souls holding the number one spot.
Best-Performing Games
As we have mentioned in the beginning, Nintendo Switch surprised everyone by outselling both PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. The NPD Group report shows that Nintendo Switch generated a total of $282 million for Nintendo. However, this isn’t actually that impressive since Nintendo Switch made 5 percent more in February.
