If there’s something that we all can agree on when it comes to Apple, then it has to be the fact that the Cupertino based tech giant puts lots of focus in every operating system update that it releases. The perfect example of this is Apple’s latest iOS 12 update for iPhones and iPads. Even though iOS 12 didn’t introduce as many features as iOS 11, the new operating system update did contain a plethora of bug fixes and software tweaks that improved the overall performances of iPhones and iPads.

With that being said, no one should be shocked to find out that iOS 12 has been well received by the iOS community. In fact, Apple has recently released the official numbers for how many iPhones and iPads are running iOS 12 and the number is outstanding!

iOS 12 Adoption Skyrockets

Apple announced today on its official developer page that 78% of all the latest iOS-powered devices are running on iOS 12. This shows us a 6% increase during the past four weeks which means that lots of people have received iPhones and iPads over Christmas.

Apple Dominates Android

As everyone already knows, Apple and Google are in a never-ending competition when it comes to operating system performances and updates. However, it seems like Apple’s latest iOS 12 is having much more success than Google’s Android 9.0 Pie. The reason why we are saying this is because less than 0.1% of Android smartphones are running on Android 9.0 Pie! This statistic was published by Google in October and the number could’ve gone up during the last months.

Final Words

Considering that Apple’s iOS 12 is being used by 78% of iPhones and iPads while Google’s Android 9.0 Pie is used by less than 0.1% of Android-powered devices, we think it’ safe to say that Apple has done a much better job.
