Moto Z4 Play Leak – Modded Smartphones are Not Going Away

The last one has been a weird one for Motorola. The tech giant promised that it will launch a bunch of mods for its Moto Z3 and Moto Z3 Play which were also released last year. However, this didn’t happen because the only mod that Motorola launched in 2018 was the Moto stereo speaker. Seeing this, Motorola fans couldn’t stop from thinking that Motorola might be looking to part ways with its modable smartphones. After all, these smartphones are targeted to a small market niche and Motorola is not making too much money with Moto Z3 and Moto Z3 Play.

Well, it looks like everyone was wrong! Motorola is, in fact, planning to keep the Z series alive and the reason why we are saying this is because an official press render of the not-yet-announced Moto Z4 Play was spotted on the web.

Moto Z4 Play Leaked Press Render

The leaked press render shows us that Moto Z4 Play is going to feature an all-screen design and just like everyone is already expecting, Moto Z4 Play’s design supports mods. What’s great about this recent press render leak is the fact that it confirms that Moto Z4 Play will feature a Mod connector alongside a water-drop notch.

Modable Design

Moto Z4 Play will look similar to its predecessors (Moto Z3 and Moto Z3 Play). Not just that, but the Mod connector is also going to make it possible for Motorola fans to change the design of the smartphone through accessories such as the previously mentioned Moto stereo speaker which launched in 2018.

The smartphone also features a large circular camera module, flat back panel and rounder corners which give it a sleek look and feel. The leaked press render makes it seem like Moto Z4 Play’s display will measure in at 6.2-inches and that the smartphone will weigh in at 158 x 75 x 7.25mm.
