A new leak that comes from the Japanese publication Macotakara reveals that Apple’s supply chain sources are saying that the new iPad 2019 which is scheduled to launch in the upcoming months will not follow the trend started by iPad Pro and remove two of the most essential iPad features.

For those who are out of the loop, Apple fans are annoyed with Apple’s forced push of AirPods by removing the 3.5mm auxiliary jack on all its devices. Fortunately, this is not going to be the case for iPad 2019.

iPad 2019 Leak

iPad Pro disappointed Apple fans when it dropped the Touch ID home button in favor of the all-new Face ID and also for dropping the headphone jack. Apple removes the headphone jack from its devices in order to force users to purchase a Lighting cable adapter or to purchase an expensive pair of AirPods.

Luckily, sources from Apple’s supply chain are reporting that Apple has noticed the bad feedback it received and that iPad 2019 will ship with a headphone jack and Touch ID button.

The Touch ID and Headphone Jack Remain

The biggest criticism that Apple has received when it comes to removing the headphone jack is that iPads have more than enough room for it. Apple gets a pass when it comes to iPhones because the Cupertino based tech giant is saying that installing a headphone jack will make the devices too bulky. This is why so many Apple fans were surprised to find out that iPad Pro doesn’t have a traditional 3.55mm headphone jack.

Affordable iPad 2019

From the looks of it, Apple is looking to make iPad 2019 affordable. Sticking with the Touch ID and headphone jack instead of using Face ID and the Lighting port makes it possible for Apple to keep the price of iPad 2019 at mid-range.
