Apple fans usually don’t have that many options when it comes to buying new iPhones, but things have changed this year. Apple revealed three new iPhones last month and they give Apple fans more options than they ever had before. In fact, the new iPhone XR has been made available for pre-order a couple of days ago but to everyone’s surprise, the handheld device didn’t sell out in a matter of minutes as all other iPhones did in the last 11 years.
iPhone XR Fails Pre-Order Event
YouTube is filled with videos of people who wait in lines for more than 24 hours in order to be the first ones who get their hands on Apple’s new iPhones. However, this is not what happened with iPhone XR. iPhone XR is the first Apple smartphone to not sell in less than an hour and this is causing Apple to worry.
Delayed Launch
The first reason why all iPhone XR units didn’t sell out in less than an hour is because the smartphone’s launch date has been delayed. iPhone XS and iPhone XS Max have already been available for pre-order for more than one month and speculation has it that Apple fans have already spent their budget pre-ordering those iPhones because they didn’t want to wait any longer for iPhone XR.
Worrying Trend
Even though 2018 has been a great year for Apple fans because the Cupertino tech based giant launched three new iPhones, no one can deny the fact that all three iPhones are underwhelming. They all failed to meet expectations because Apple decided to stick with the same design that is used on iPhone X and to not implement any new features.
On the other hand, leaks are showing that Samsung is looking to revolutionize the smartphone industry next year when Galaxy S10 is scheduled to launch. Read more about Galaxy S10 here.
