Users of Google Chrome on MacOS should immediately update to the most recent version of the browser. As a result of a zero-day vulnerability, Google has released a third Chrome update within the previous week, bringing the total to three. The new patch, according to the latest version, claims to have fixed the zero-day vulnerability.

On Tuesday, Google released a new version of its Chrome web browser, which is available for Macintosh, Windows, and Linux. This is coming shortly, and if you haven’t already, Google wants you to force-install it as soon as possible.
Type confusion is one of the security problems that has been resolved in the most recent Chrome update. Since it was first identified on April 13th, Google Chrome’s security team has been kept quite busy investigating the situation.

This zero-day vulnerability is considered serious and high-risk by Google, and as a result, you’ve gotten three updates in as short as a week, which is pretty rare. The issue is serious enough to cause the browser to crash and to provide attackers access to arbitrary code as a result.

Google Chrome app users running MacOS may check for the Chrome update on their computers by going to Help > About and checking if the new version is compatible with their operating system. As soon as the update has been installed, Chrome will prompt you to restart the browser in order for the changes to take effect. Click Yes to proceed.

Because so many people all around the globe rely on Chrome for their whole internet surfing experience, the firm provides security updates on a regular basis to address any threats that may surface in the course of their work. Microsoft Edge, Apple Safari, and Firefox are just a few of the companies that compete with it. Chrome is the market-leading product in its category. When Chrome version 100 was released recently, it was a significant step forward in the development of the browser, placing it far ahead of its competitors in terms of an evolutionary leap.
