If you love playing Mario Kart Tour on your console, then we have some great news to share with you. Nintendo has announced earlier today that Mario Kart Tour is now available to download on iOS and Android. This is great news because Mario Kart Tour fans have been asking for a mobile version of the game for a long time and to make things even better, Nintendo has also revealed that Mario Kart Tour offers an optional “Gold Pass” subscription service.

What is Mario Kart Tour’s Gold Pass?

As previously mentioned, the Gold Pass is a subscription service and it will provide users with access to various in-game items and badges that they can earn while playing Mario Kart Tour. To make things even better, the Gold Pass is also going to unlock the faster 200cc mode which is taking the gameplay experience of Mario Kart Tour to the next level.

How Much Does It Cost?

Now that we know what the Gold Pass does, the question that remains is how much does it cost? The first thing that we want to note is that Nintendo is offering a two-week free trial. However, after the trial is finished, Mario Kart Tour fans will need to pay $4.99 per month for the subscription.

Competing with Apple Arcade

The interesting thing about the pricing of Mario Kart Tour’s Gold Pass is that it has the same price as the recently released Apple Arcade. For those who aren’t familiar with the Apple Arcade, they should know that this is a subscription service that is giving iOS fans access to lots of premium mobile games and exclusive titles that they can’t find anywhere else.

Even though Mario Kart Tour is super fun to play, we think that Nintendo needs to invest in lots more games before it can charge the same amount as Apple Arcade. After all, Apple Arcade offers a much wider variety of mobile games to pick from.
