Nearly a decade has passed since Nokia used to rule the smartphone industry with Symbian devices. Nokia didn’t do well on the market when Google’s Android and Apple’s iOS operating systems were released, but luckily, HMD Global decided to acquire Nokia a couple of years ago and help the smartphone manufacturer adapt.

Ever since HMD Global started funding Nokia, the tech giant has released a bunch of high-end smartphones during this past couple of years that run on Android. With that being said, no one should be shocked to find out that Nokia is getting ready to launch a new smartphone that will feature an innovative looking punch-hole design.

New Nokia Leak

The latest leak in the smartphone industry comes from the Twitter user “@LeaksNokia”. This leakster is claiming that Nokia and HMD Global are currently adding the finishing touches to a new smartphone that will compete against the likes of Galaxy S10 and OnePlus 7.

We don’t know what the new Nokia smartphone will be called like, but what we know is that it’s going to feature a cool looking punch-hole design where the selfie camera is hidden inside the display. Talking about the display, the upcoming flagship from Nokia is going to feature a 6.2-inches panel that uses IPS LCD technology.

Under the Hood

According to “@LeaksNokia”, the new smartphone will be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 632 CPU. This is a mid-range CPU which leads us to believe that the new smartphone will feature an affordable price. In addition, the smartphone will be equipped with a 16MP primary camera and a 16MP selfie shooter.

Expected Launch Date

Despite there being scarce details about the new Nokia smartphone, the leakster “@LeaksNokia” is reporting that the company’s next-gen flagship will launch at the end of this month or in early February.
