YouTube is a great app that is used by millions of people every single day. This shows us that YouTube is a premium app that features extraordinary features. What makes YouTube the best video streaming platform in the world is the fact that it’s always improving. Truth be told, YouTube has had some controversy problems during this past couple of years which lead to the infamous “adpocalypse”. However, this doesn’t mean that the developers of the app going to take a break from improving it through regular updates.

With that being said, the reason why YouTube is making headlines today is because it has just received a brand-new update. This is not a regular bug fixes and software tweaks update because it introduces a major UI (user interface) feature that changes the way people watch their favorite content on the video streaming app.

New Swipe-Based Navigation

The latest update for YouTube is currently rolling out to iOS powered devices right now and it makes it possible for users to view the next video on their list just by simply swiping left or right. While this might not be a groundbreaking feature by any means, it does make it easier for people to get to the next video on their recommended list.

Discover New Content Creators

YouTube’s developers hope that the new swipe-based navigation system is going to help people discover new content creators that they never heard about before. This is a win-win situation because content creators are going to receive more views while YouTube users get to find new videos that they might like.

Final Words

The only bad thing about this update is that we don’t know when it’s going to roll out for Android smartphones as well. If the feedback from iOS users is good, then YouTube might decide to release the update during the upcoming weeks.
